This was mildly interesting

This was alright. It was fast paced and mildly interesting. Full of young adult tropes, such as the girl being the one to save them all...a corrupt leader out to get her....a lost love interest with a new one taking his place....but I enjoyed getting to know the characters. It did have a mystery element to it that I enjoyed. Someone was a traitor and the book spent time exploring who it could have been. I was guessing at it throughout the book.

The writing was fine, I enjoyed it but it didn't blow me away by any means. I think that young adults who like adventure stories and strong female characters would enjoy this book. I liked how one of the characters had the job of feeding everyone. That part made me hungry!

Overall, a decent story.
