The Last Voyage of Poe Blythe is the story of a girl whose world has been ripped from beneath her feet and she is bound and determined to get revenge. When Poe’s best friend is taken from her by the raiders she is obsessed with getting even with them. Her best chance at getting even comes when the Admiral asks her to be captain for a journey on the ship for which she’s designed the armor to keep the raiders off. On this voyage, Por finds out that things aren’t always what they seem.
The author keeps the plot moving along quickly and I wanted to keep on reading to find out what wss going to happen next. There was adventure around every corner. Told through the eyes of Poe, the reader is able to feel the mistrust that she has in people. At first I thought that Poe was being overly cautious and critical of people, but as I kept reading, I began to understand why and thought her to be quite smart.
