Predictable but somewhat fun. I have a thing for pirate stories and this kind of reminded me of those. I was able to predict almost the whole story after reading the first 80 pages. Most of this book was fast-paced and full of action, which really helped. I just had figured it out way too early to be happy with the ending. I do think my students would enjoy this book, however, so I didn't give it 1 star. I make notes as I read, with my predictions, and I was right for much of this book.
My notes from the first day's reading said: "I swear, if Call is alive and Poe has been lead into a trap (she was never meant to go back to the Outpost, the Admiral is bad, the drifters are the good guys) I will be ultra disappointed."
