Fabulous read with a Strong Female Lead!

I loved this book! A little bit fantasy, a little bit adventurous, a little bit about love and loss and grief! A strong female character is the leader of a group of sailors, male and female alike. Reads very much like a 'Pirates of the Caribbean' story! Right from the beginning Poe is faced with challenges in her life, both professional and personal challenges. How she chooses to overcome everything she is faced with is what makes this a great book. She has a traitor lurking somewhere. Will she find that person before someone else close to her is harmed? And will she protect her ship and crew from the dangers that await them? I would love to read this to my students and recommend that some of the older ones read it on their own. It's a twisty, thrill ride of a book!
