The Last Voyage of Poe Blythe took me by utter surprise. Ally Condie really blew me away with how she flawlessly expressed intense emotions, made you feel those same feelings in your gut, completely relate to the main character and how she felt that way, and yet root for her to change and be happy as well. It's books like these that teach me not to judge a book by its cover or description, because you can never know what beauty lies within. The battle inside Poe was one we can all relate to, and also the people are her; finding out that some people you're close to will betray you, but some will surprise you, and be there for you, and fight for you. It was truly a beautiful and moving story and I finished it within a day. The writing was gorgeous, the plot was intense and caught me off guard several times, the characters were so complex but relate able, and the story ended so well. Call would have been proud of her.
