Mad Max Meets Mutiny on the Bounty

This book. had a humorous litterary twist when Ms Conde decided to make the main character Captain Blythe. I was waiting for a complete mutiny aboard ship as soon as it sets course.I would have liked more pages that described the Outpost : is it post apocalypse or merely a dystopia post modern age where the world is destroyed. The main character is strong not pining for her lost love, but resolutely set on righting the wrong of his death. The armor she developed was not impenetrable, now I need to know what happens next! a solid 3.5 stars!
