I’ve never had the pleasure of reading anything by Ally Condie, and that’s something I need to rectify. I’ve seen her books floating around, I’ve heard her name countless times, most from people raving about what a fantastic author she is, and I’d definitely believe that based on this sneak peak. So much emotion packed into so few pages!
The first thing that piques my interest is that Poe is a girl on a mission for revenge. I adore a good revenge tale, not simply because I like people getting their comeuppance, but more so because I love when the story sort of shifts from a tale of revenge to a tale of realization and comprehension. I’m not saying Poe will come to an understanding that violence isn’t the answer, although I’m hoping she does because that always make for good storytelling. After the course of revenge, obviously.
At any rate, this book sounds phenomenal and I’m adding it to my tbr ASAP. Pirates, revenge, emotions aplenty makes this one sound like a story not to be missed.
