On a small Greek island, one hundred and twenty-two villagers live together in peace, but in fear of the fog that lurks outside the walls of their security system. This fog wiped out everyone else on the planet who came into contact with it. These villagers live by the rules of the three scientists who are their elders. One morning, the villagers wake up to one of the scientists murdered. Somehow, during the night, their security system went down, and the fog is slowly creeping in towards their village. The only way to save themselves is to solve the murder, but no one can remember what happened the night before. Their memories have been erased by the island's security system. Someone on the island murdered the scientist, and they have to figure out who before they run out of time.

From the moment you start reading The Last Murder At The End Of The World, you get a sense that there's something not quite right about the island and its occupants. The whole vibe of the book is very foreboding. That being said, don't go into this expecting a fast-paced murder mystery. This is definitely a slow-burn book. This book is told with very well crafted storytelling. In the beginning, I got a little confused with all the different characters and the constant switching back and forth between their storylines, but I'm glad I didn't give up on this one. Once this one got going, it was so good! There were so many unexpected surprises, moments that had my mouth hanging open, and parts that had me gasping out loud in utter shock and disbelief. This was a wild, crazy dystopian whodunnit murder mystery, and I loved it!
