The mystery part seems good

The mystery seems intriguing enough to keep your interest. But, the chapters are annoyingly short, interfering with the pacing and flow. Hopefully that’s just true in the beginning. The foreshadowing is a bit heavy-handed, but sometimes that works well for mysteries with a bunch of clue drops in the beginning to get you started before the real investigative action starts. The characters are pretty flat so far, but there’s plenty of book left to change that.
