Interesting story idea.

I love this concept of a post-apocalyptic world where everyone in the world was killed by a mysterious fog. Well accept for those on this island. A small population of people and one is murdered. The resulting security system failure that puts everyone at the mercy of that fog and the resulting limited time had me on the edge of my sear. I would love to know how it ends.
