I’ve read the other Stuart Turton books and I’ve always been impressed by his ability to put twists on his mysteries- an already twisty genre. This one looks really fun and exciting, I think he’ll excel in a sci-fi setting, something he’s explored lightly in a previous work. The scope feels both large and small at the same time. A big empty world, but a small enclosed island. I think this will allow him to really explore his characters while also making some philosophical statements about what the looming end of the world really means. I’m really pumped for this.
