High-Concept Thriller

I don't know what's going on but I'm hooked! The little turns of phrase here and that that made me go "???" and the odd descriptions of a tiny, isolated world make me want to know what's going on and how it will unfold. I'm super curious where it's going. I love the way little scraps of information get parceled out in these opening pages!
