The Last Girls Standing is a queer young adult psychological thriller/horror by Jennifer Dugan. I've read a lot of other books by this author, Some Girls Do, Set on You, and Coven. This is probably my least favorite book of hers so far. I still gave it three stars, but despite making it to the end of the book I have no idea what I read. This book was a bit of a mess the entire way through. I didn't really like the way the plot unfolded or decisions characters made. I was really looking forward to this one but it was a disappointment. This book follows the two survivors of a summer camp massacre. Sloan wants to learn more about the masked people that killed the others that day. But her girlfriend Cherry(The other survivor) seems against this. Sloan's friends and family also don't want her around Cherry, but really traumatized and needs her. But Cherry might not be the safety net she thinks she is.
