*Thank you to Author Jennifer Dugan and Penguin Teen Publishing for the ARC this review is based on*

To begin, the cover of this book gives off the perfect creepy first impression that leads into the book perfectly. Cherry and Sloan are now a couple who met while they were counselors at a summer camp. Tragically, days after the girls arrive, masked men wielding machetes massacre all other camp personnel. The "Last Girls Standing" (perfect title by the way) become more and more reliant on each other and their (unhealthy) relationship. The story follows Sloan and her difficulty in remembering the events of that night and questioning who she should trust.

I really struggle to write this review without any spoilers. All I can add is that I had expected the story to focus more on the camp aspect of the girl's life and also expected more questions to be answered. Unfortunately, the book left too many questions unanswered for my liking and I was disappointed in how it turned out.
