This YA thriller is scary good! The two main characters, Sloan and Cherry, have great chemistry. You can really feel the bond between them. Just like you can tangibly feel the tension from the horrible massacre that forever bonded Sloan and Cherry. In the first few chapters the author gives you a glimpse inside Slogan’s head and her hazy memories of what happened that night at the camp. This paints a horrifying picture for the reader. Especially once “The Fox” character enters the picture. He is all the things a good thriller villain should be. Or is he? The author leaves you wondering if Sloan’s memories of that night are indeed true. After all she has a huge blank spot in those memories so how can we trust her recollection to be entirely true? I can’t wait to dive into the rest of this book and finally figure out what Sloan is forgetting, and if Cherry really is the amazing girlfriend she seems to be.
