I have been in a bit of a reading hiatus. I love reading but just couldn’t get into any books, until I opened up this one. From the start, I was hooked and needed to know what truly happened that night. I was immediately suspicious of Cherry and got bad vibes from her. Honestly, I did not like any of the characters, except Sloan. Cherry was very much a toxic, controlling girlfriend and I was honestly hoping she was a part of the murders all along. Sloan’s mother also annoyed me as she kept information from Sloan that could’ve been helpful/pertinent to healing. As the plot was coming to an end, I was hoping to have a more clear idea to the events of the murders but I was still a little confused. I would’ve enjoyed a full play by play of what happened. I felt like I still thought Cherry was in on it because there was no answers and honestly, I hoped it was Cherry. The ending was disappointing and not anything of what I wanted it to be.
