The Last girls standing by Jennifer Dugan started out with a bang, or rather a scream as several camp counselors at Camp Money Springs are brutally massacred by a cult. The only two survivors are Sloan and her new girlfriend, Cherry. I love any book that features a camp setting and Murder, ala Friday the 13th, and the depictions of the massacre were great. Where the book lost it for me a little was after and Sloan trying to regain her memories of what happened that night.

It was fairly obvious to me what memories she was withholding from herand the book tended to drag out certain scenes, but I did enjoy the book. I thought the representation of PTSD was good and I enjoyed the relationship between Sloan and Cherry. I felt the ending was kinda rushed and could have been fleshed out more, considering how the middle part of the book dragged on for longer than needed.
