Ok, so who doesn't love a good summer camp thriller? Thank you to Bookish First and the author for the chance to read and review this book!
The Last Girls standing is the story of Sloan, a recent high school graduate who was one of the only two survivors of a gruesome massacre at a summer camp. Sloan and Cherry, her girlfriend and the other survivor, are inseparable. As Sloan works to unblock her memories of that day and learns more about the murders, she starts to suspect that Cherry might have actually been a part of the cult behind it all.
This book just kept me on my toes and made me question ever going into the woods again!
The Last Girls Standing is filled with twists and turns that will keep you guessing from one chapter to the next. I liked how with Sloan's missing memories and the mystery of her family, you couldn't be sure where the story was heading or what really happened that day. Sloan recognizes that they only knew each other for a few days before the murders, I thought/hoped they were actually going to break up. Overall, it was a great read that captured my attention, I would definitely read another book by this author!
