This is one incredibly intense psychological thriller that will make you feel crazy from trying to figure out what’s going on. It gives you this glimpse into the mind of a survivor from a mass murder. Asks questions like why there? Why them? Why did they survive when the others died?
Sloan and Cherry aren’t perfect people. They’re so incredibly flawed and sometimes they make very stupid decisions. Their relationship is formed from their trauma and it eats away at them. They’re both trying to process everything the best way they can and you get to see two different takes on that process.
I don’t want to spoil anything so all I will say is that I was flying through this book, trying to understand everything myself and ultimately I am impressed at the execution of it! It was all very well done. I can see myself reading more of this author, both romance and thriller.
