Lots of intrigue, didn't want to stop reading

Straight away I was hooked on wanting to solve the mysteries... Sloan's adoption and curious birthmark, missing time and Cherry's intense reaction to the box being opened! The intrigue builds up well and the cover draws you in too with the eye-catching red. I also liked that the characters seem well-thought out, believable people and the dialogue felt natural. The book gets you thinking and I definitely want to read the rest to find out if my hunches are right...!
