First I think the cover is a great hook, it definitely makes you want to look inside. Secondly, I was a bit unsure of how I felt about the writing style but the more I read the more I wanted to keep reading. I think the way the characters trauma response is written keeps the suspense of the mystery throughout the first look. I would definitely check this out at a library to finish it at least. The end made me wonder if Cherry’s mother or father had anything to do with the massacre, which as predictable as that is is also a good twist for the main character (and cherry if she was uninvolved)
