Sloan and Cherry are interesting characters with lots of mysteries in their pasts hinted at but not revealed in this excerpt. The writing is good, the story fast-paced. So far, not overly graphic. I'd be a bit worried if I were reading the whole book, as I don't like horror, as a rule. Perfect for older teen readers and adults who do enjoy mystery and horror. I did not like the cover art.
