I immediately disliked the main character and her girlfriend - I think (and hope) that's intentional, because it could get irritating otherwise. It feels a little slow, but that may just be because the author has to establish the characters relationship before things kick off but as the reader you already know things the main character doesn't. So it might pick up soon.
