This book hooked me right from the first sentence and never let go. I instantly connected with Nhika and cheered her on as she faced so much danger just because of her culture and rare ability to heal others through touch.
I enjoyed the suspense and murder mystery that kept me guessing until Nhika figured out who was the guilty party, then gasped out loud as the action packed, emotional ending raced to a conclusion. As I read towards the end, I knew this was going to be only the first of either a duology or series. And I need the second book NOW please! I had to research the sequel and it is also gorgeous. I immediately added it to my wish list and can't wait for next spring's publication date.
This dark fantasy is unique to any another other I have ever read. Nhika's background and talents were developed logically for me using science facts to back up the incredibly rich world building.
