The cover has an oriental look and I enjoy books that take place in the Orient. The brief look at page one makes me want to read this author and this book. I enjoy some fantasy. In having lived on Taiwan and Japan, I lean towards authors who use such settings. As a former teacher, I'd like to read this and see if it would be appropriate to recommend to students.
