I love world building like this. I love misunderstood characters and misunderstood magic. There is a seedy underbelly that is like the law but worse. All the perfect trademarks of a great fantasy story but with a hint of modernism. I like to say its possible steam punkish? I would have to read more to know and I definitely want to read more!
