This was a very unique story excerpted. I think the cover is stunning. I enjoyed the maps inside. I wasn’t sure if I’d enjoy the excerpt because the storyline sounds too dark for me. But I did read the first part of this excerpt and it’s very well written and interesting. The lead character has a unique ability to either kill or heal. In this excerpt she actually saved somebody’s life and then “rewarded” for that by essentially being attacked and called a blood carver.
