Like the author, I learned to knit from an expert grandmother. She had me practice, practice, practice! My stitch is beautiful! I sure wish I had this little nugget of a book when I started handling more difficult patterns on my own. It has always been difficult to understand terms used in a pattern. This little book is as powerful as Google Translate is for learning a new language. Explanations for terms are easy to understand and the format makes it easy to find a term the reader does not understand in a pattern. Love the explanations about different types of yarn!
