As a self-taught knitter, I've got several books in my collection. However, from the sample I've read, this one appears to be worthy of a place on any knitter's shelf. I love the yarn recommendations for specific projects and what I saw of the dictionary of terms would have made my early days learning so much easier. Even now, I know that I would find use from something like this. If the whole book is like the sample, I would say the author took great care in giving people just what they might need. A++
