I can physically do most knitting stitches once I figure them out. But I feel like an idiot when trying anything more complicated than a basic scarf, because I tend to buy the wrong yarn for a pattern or see several different interpretations of directions, etc. I feel like this knitting book might give me the deeper understanding I need to successfully translate some patterns into knitting I can actually do. Maybe I can finally move beyond fingerless mittens, which are my most complicated (successfully finished) knitting project to date!
