Like the author, I learned to knit before I was a teen. For Mom, knitting was necessary, as often mittens went missing. It was cost efficient to make us multiple sets versus spending on store bought mittens. I do like to knit, but I am intimidated by the patterns out there. What i really like about what I read in this knitting dictionary, is the visual explanation with the written definition. Instead of guessing, and getting frustrated, it makes sense!
