The Kingdoms of Savannah starts like any good mystery - with a cast of colorful characters and a murder. Despite the shift in timeline between the prologue and the first chapter, each setting is colorfully written and the characters easy to envision. It feels like this story could have taken place in the 1800's were it not for references to modern technologies.

The jacket cover is similarly haunting and recalls the humid, fabled setting of Savannah, Georgia. This one should be a good read!
