I got very excited about this one after seeing the cover, it looked ominous and it piqued my interested. My interest continued as I read the note on history and the first few lines of the prologue. However, it slowed way down for the rest of the first impression. I think this book could go either way, it could either pick back up and have me hooked or slow my interested all the way to a halt.
