I think that the cover + title would be something that I'd give a quick glance to but may pass over without any urge or previous knowledge about the book. The summary gains my attention because I don't often ever see many books set in the South (just my experience), so it would be interesting to read that setting. I think the excerpt shows a typical book I'd read if I had the time.
