I was immediately drawn to this book because of it's beautiful cover. Couple that with Marie Lu, I knew I was in for a treat! I've never read a book involving the (fictional) backstory of prominent art or music figures (other than a manga about Vincent Van Gogh). This book was as much of a masterpiece as one of Mozart's compositions. The characters came to life, the setting beautiful. I was immediately transported and sucked into the story.

The book deeply resonated such that after finishing, I hungrily reached for more facts about Mozart. It was so interesting to learn that Mozart actually had a sister named Maria Anne Mozart, or Nannerl Mozart.

I can't wait to read more and fervently hope that Marie Lu writes more about musicians (Beethoven and Haydn) and their backstories.
