Marie Lu is very well-known in the YA book community. My first book by her was Warcross, which consumed me from the first page. Then came the sequel, Wildcard. I know she's written another series, one I haven't managed to have the time to read yet, but because I know how well Marie Lu writes and how rich her stories are, it's high up on the list of books to read.

This story intrigued my love at historical fiction, one of my top 3 favorite types of fiction. Europe in the 1700s, the age of Enlightenment, is one I'm only vaguely familiar with, but more so familiar with Europe in that time period than anywhere else. This story is a telling of a young, female Mozart, she's musically talented beyond imagination, but because she's a woman in this time period, people only expect her to marry and birth children. Her brother, Wolfgang, whose talents never go unnoticed, seems like he will be the dreamcatcher, not her. Until a mysterious stranger comes along, granting her wish, but with a heft price.

What would you do if you could make your dream a reality, especially when it seems like it will never come true in your lifetime because of circumstances beyond your control?
