This is my first time reading Marie Lu and I am enamored with her wonderful writing. Her descriptions are vivid and force me to conjure the place she describes; a sensory experience that unfolds in my mind as I read. The snippets and hints of a deeper depth in the story excites my inquisitive mind.
As a fan of Mozart, I was immediately drawn to Nannerl and the child Wolfgang, both children exude a childish innocence yet are above their actual years. Nannerl in her motherly care and brave abandon and Mozart for his intelligence, talent and curiosity.
Knowing Mozart’s story well, I anticipate a tragedy, but I am drawn to the magical place the brother and sister discover and am wondering who the mysterious prince is and what his intentions really are.
Therefore, I am quite anxious to finish this story.
