I really enjoyed this book, though I did find myself skimming it a little. I absolutely loved the pieces of story set in the Kingdom of Back (I love fairy tales so much), but while reading I found that the "real world" issues dragged a little for me. After reading the author's note on her inspiration, I found the parallels between the two settings and really the existence of the kingdom much more interesting. The bond between the Mozart siblings was really well written and three-dimensional. I found the fact that this was also based on true history to be heartwarming and I think added to the story. I do wish there had been more based on the fantasy aspect, but I do see why Marie Lu wrote the story the way she did. Really interesting idea and I thought the writing was detailed and really quite good for YA genre.
