Synopsis:
Nannerl and Woferl Mozart are both child prodigies. They can play the clavier with talent beyond their years. They both compose extraordinary music. They both entertain the rich and the royal. But Nannerl knows she will eventually be led into a life of marriage and child bearing whilst her brother gets to continue on to infinite fame. To what lengths will she go to ensure her name becomes just as famous, just as immortal as the one and only Wolfgang Mozart?

Review:
From page one I was completely swept away by this book. Marie Lu's writing is from another world. Every page flowed beautifully and made me feel immersed in pure magic. I was even more enchanted with the fact that this book is based on a "real" imaginative world created by the real Mozart siblings. I imagine living a life as stressful as theirs (they were pretty much exploited by their father for the talent) requires having some place to escape to. This book creates a stunning world of what the may (or may not) have imagined during that time, and even takes it further into Nannerl discovering what truly makes her valued and remembered.

Pros:
EXCELLENT world building
Easy to read

Cons:
Hard to follow the passing of time (what felt like days and weeks turned out to be months and years passing)
A little more action/adventure or more time spent on Nannerl's tasks would've been great
Nannerl was a little dense and very frustrating as a character for the majority of the book

Overall, I do recommend this book to most readers from middle grade and up.
