Any book that starts with a map just has to be good

Marie Lu is an author I always enjoy reading and this excerpt from her newest book makes me believe I will love this one too. Plus it has a map and I am an absolute sucker for a book with a map. This book has a story and characters that instantly drew me and made me eager to find out what will happen next. Good historical fiction is a genre I very much enjoy and this book is an excellent example of that type of book. I know you cannot judge a book by its cover alone but this book has a gorgeous cover that begs to be picked up and once you do the story grabs you and won’t let you go. I am beyond eager to find out where the story goes and how it unfolds for the characters in the rest of the book.
