Marie Liu makes musical notes and a mystical world both come alive in The Kingdom of Back. Not only can I see a young Nannerl and her mischievous brother Wolfgang and the pull of music to them, I can also picture the kingdom of Back as it magically appears to the siblings when Nannerl talks of the land from her dreams. I can't wait to see how this one plays out.
