This book has warm and inviting prose, full of just enough magic in the beginning to pique my interest and just enough historical detail to make me excited for both worlds, Back and Salzburg. I like Nannerl although she's fairly young in the beginning, and I hope she grows in complexity as the book progresses.
The opening scene was surprisingly tense and I expect the rest of the book will follow suit. This could be a real gem.
