Wow! I’ve actually never read a book by Marie Lu and clearly that is a big mistake! Her writing is so poetic, almost lyrical, and it flows like music, which is perfect because the story is all about music. Nannerl is a fascinating young woman who simply wants to be remembered and play music, but of course we all know who the well-known Mozart will be. I’m struck by how seamlessly this story weaves family, music, and magic, which I wasn’t expecting but love! I can’t wait to see how her relationship with her brother progresses and with the boy from another realm. I need more!
