I think Marie Lu created a very interesting protagonist. It would be interesting where she's going to take Nannerl - will she remain the good girl who will always try to do the right thing by her family or will she succumb to the selfish desire that is brewing slowly? I like how the author created the internal struggle Nannerl is currently having and how she let us take a glimpse. I found myself being jealous of her brother too and wishing along with her when she was hoping not to be overshadowed. I am really curious as to how Marie Lu is going to develop her protagonist.

The descriptions of the dreamworld were also so detailed up to the dew drops and to the sensations that it wasn't hard imagining myself being like Alice in wonderland (without the bad guys). It was whimsical and enchanting. I loved the description of the mossy ground which glowed with faery light when stepped on the most.

For a sneak peek, it surely was a great first chapters. I can say that it gives the reader just enough meat to bite on and to entice to sit down and read the rest because the need to know what happens next is there.
