My initial impressions are usually correct. Rarely are they are wrong.
I judged this book before I ever began reading it. The cover is pretty but the title and genre (Historical YA Fantasy) are way out of my preferred readings.
With that said...my first impression was wrong. As I began reading I quickly became enthralled in the first person narrative. The perspective as the older sister of Mozart is brilliant, fresh, and riveting! Captivating storytelling.
