First thing: Marie Lu's writing is amazing and for this to be her first historical fiction novel is crazy. Marie's writing is lyrical and really pulls you in while reading. For me I just wanted to know more with every page I read. I stopped reading at about page 10 because I didn't want to completely spoiled, but I'm already loving our main character Nannerl. And the best thing of all is that we get a map! I have tried to read historical fiction novel in the past but I never really found one that I truly love but I think this one might be the historical fiction novel that I've been looking for. I can't wait to read more!!! :)
