A historical fiction novel I DON'T hate? What is this?!

I typically hate historical fiction. Each time I pick up one, I either lose interest out of boredom or the writing is too difficult to read. This started out as one of those books but got easier to read as it continued. I found myself engrossed in Nannerl's story and whimsical feel of it. Can't wait to continue.
