The attractive cover design and the promise of a story about composer Mozart's musical sister made me interested. There had been a lot of positive talk almost 10 years ago about a French film on this same subject - Nannerl Mozart. In addition, the premise of one's opportunities in life being limited by one's gender is, unfortunately, still a pertinent and timely topic. While there often is something magical about genius talent, the fantasy world which inspires Nannerl in this book just did not appeal to me. Since I think the book is well written and researched, I am giving it 4 stars.
