It was the cover that originally made me want to read the except for this one. I loved the color palette and just how different it seemed from many of the other covers out there these days.
I know this is actually three books in one, and that the excerpt is only for the first book (a good thing, since giving us excerpts for the other two would be major spoilers), but I feel like I've gotten a pretty decent grasp of the writing style and basic plot. I'm sure there's still much to learn, and that's what really has caught my attention. For I honestly don't know where the author will be going with this, but I just can't wait to find out.
