I love the sound of this series. The excerpt sounds like a very different concept for a sci-fi book. The aliens in this remind me of the cave dwellers in the movie The Decent. Those creatures were terrifying which makes me want to read this series even more. I love anything that will stick with me and I will not forget as soon as I finish. This sounds like a series I would really enjoy.
